CANIDAE and Team Missy “Win Big” for Prairieland Animal Welfare Center

Team CANIDAE and Team Missy came together this winter to support the Prairieland Animal Welfare Center to increase the quality of life for sheltered animals.
The Prairieland Animal Welfare Center is operated by the Knox County Humane Society in Galesburg, Illinois. The shelter is the only state-licensed animal shelter in Knox County and operates as a not-for-profit organization dedicated to preventing cruelty to animals.
Team Missy, a CANIDAE sponsored dock diving team that is based near the animal welfare center, became aware that Prairieland was conducting a fund raising drive to purchase dog beds to elevate the sheltered animals off of the cold cement flooring.
Dan Jocobs of Team Missy and Diane Matsuura at CANIDAE worked together to supply six high quality dog beds which let the animal shelter achieve their goal of 30 new beds.
CANIDAE also donated super-premium All Life Stages dry and canned dog food to the shelter to bolster their stockpile for the cold winter months. Both the dog beds and the CANIDAE All Life Stages food were a big favorite of the sheltered animals!
