CANIDAE was proud to donate to and sponsor the Krewe of PAWS Mardi Gras Pet Parade Fundraiser on February 6, 2010 on Antique Alley in West Monroe, Louisiana.
Downtown West Monroe was once again transformed into a fun street party for animal lovers and a festive parade of costumed critters who all made their way down the streets of Antique Alley.
The annual Mardi Gras fundraiser helps PAWS of Northeast Louisiana pursue their mission of reducing and aiding the population of unwanted and lost companion animals in their community through their spay/neuter, animal shelter, education, and pet tagging programs.
Despite cold and windy weather that Saturday, the parade was a great success. Our own Nick Essary was on hand providing samples of all natural CANIDAE dog food and FELIDAE cat food to the many attendees and participants. There were 222 pet entries, awesome floats and many fun Mardi Gras costumes.
Amber Osbon, Spay Neuter Director of PAWS of N.E. Louisiana sent in this note of thanks, “It was an awesome event! The CANIDAE goodie bags were “the bomb,” the children’s games were a big hit and the crowds were huge! Your support made this event a success and we cannot thank you enough!”
