Exporter of the Year Award Presented to CANIDAE Pet Foods

The prestigious Marshall School of Business of the University of Southern California was the venue for the presentation to CANIDAE of the 2010 Exporter of the Year Award for the industry sector of consumer goods. CANIDAE was one of 12 US companies selected for this recognition, which is awarded by ThinkGlobal, Inc., the publisher of Commercial News USA, the official export promotion magazine of the US Department of Commerce.

According to the award certificate, “The 2010 ThinkGlobal Exporter of the Year Awards are presented to U.S. exporters based on the total number of documented export deals, exports as a percentage of total sales, the company’s commitment to exporting, the company’s commitment to customer service, and the company’s innovation and originality in marketing its products or services”.

John Gordon and Scott Whipple, the founders of CANIDAE Pet Foods, and Manny Rosillo, International Sales Manager, attended the luncheon and award ceremony, which was part of the Asia/Pacific Business Outlook Conference, a sold-out event held April 19 & 20, 2010, at USC. The conference is produced by the Marshall School of Business in partnership with the U.S. Commercial Service.

Winners of the Exporter of the Year Awards were announced during the luncheon by Greg Sandler, Publisher of Commercial News USA. Suresh Kumar, Assistant Secretary of Commerce and Director General, US & Foreign Commercial Service, delivered the award certificate to Manny Rosillo for CANIDAE at the podium.
