CANIDAE Team Takes Podium at UFO Disc Dog National World Cup Finals

CANIDAE Natural Pet Food Company was the premier corporate sponsor of the UFO Disc Dog National World Cup Finals held October 22-24, 2010 at Cesar Chavez Park in San Diego, CA. In addition to sponsoring the event, we also are proud to sponsor our very own CANIDAE Disc Dog Team members who placed extremely well in all categories.

Special congratulations go out to Gary Duke and his Aussie "Bayer" who won the 2010 Freestyle All-Star Championship, and to Todd Murnan and his Belgian Malinois "Bella" who took home 2nd place in the Overall Championship Finals and 2nd place in the All-Star Freestyle competitions. Todd also placed 4th in All-Star Throw and Catch with Bella and 5th in All-Star Throw and Catch with Grit, an Australian Cattle Dog. Gary Duke finished 3rd in the Overall finals with "Bayer". Junior Handler Team Member Kirby McIlveen with her Border Collie Sketch, placed 5th in the Overall Finals and 6th in the All Star Freestyle finals. CANIDAE would like to congratulate Matt D'Ano and his Border Collie Maggie on winning their 4th consecutive UFO Overall National Championship title at this year's competition.

The UFO is dedicated to promoting the sport of canine disc dogs and is comprised of a group of people that work with the disc dog community to create a series of events that all mesh together into a globe-spanning series. The World Cup series is a points event, similar to World Cup Skiing or NASCAR. Disc dog teams compete at local contests, trying to earn World Cup points and qualify for the World Cup Final.
