"The perfect flavor for my Schnauzer's finicky taste buds"

2/4/2010
-
44 pound bag of CANIDAE All Life StagesI just wanted to say Thank You! I have been going through every premium dog food on the market for almost the past year since our Mini Schnauzer came here. He likes nothing for any longer than a week at a time before I am out looking for that perfect food! Thanks to CANIDAE I have found it.

He, with my other four dogs, are on the second 44 pound bag of CANIDAE All Life Stages and getting ready to start the third one! Hurray for who ever created just the perfect flavor for my Schnauzer's finicky taste buds! My other dogs are herders... need I say more?

I always go the natural holistic route, and the taste of the food you have developed is so perfect.... I just can't thank you enough! No need to look any more!!

"I went to the CANIDAE Lamb & Rice -- what a great food"

2/3/2010
-
CANIDAE Lamb & RiceI just wanted to let you know the CANIDAE Lamb & Rice dog food is great! I was giving [another brand of] dog food and decided to try a less expensive food to save on money, but one still within the lamb food family. Well, one bag of the other food and my Corgi Zeta was losing hair. The hair also changed color to a lighter red and seemed to dry out. So I went to the CANIDAE Lamb & Rice -- what a great food. Within two weeks she stopped shedding, the color came back and her hair feels like you put conditioner on it. I would recommend this food to everyone.

"He will be a CANIDAE fueled dog from the start"

I plan to feed him CANIDAEI recently read the Dummies Guide To Dog Food Labels and am extremely upset about the ingredients found in my current dog food. I am a competition hunter and my dogs hunt on a professional level. Therefore, my dogs need above average dog food to perform at their best potential.

Here is a picture of my newest member, he is three weeks old and his full color has not come out yet. I plan to feed him 100% CANIDAE throughout his life. He will be the World Champion UKC-PKC Hound!

I will send more pictures of his progress and achievements as we go. My other dogs are accomplished winners, but he will be a CANIDAE fueled dog from the start!

Thanks Again,
Jay B

"It's because of the good food that I have some of the best looking Danes I have ever seen"

Daphne and StetsonI am so glad that we put our dogs back on CANIDAE. They were originally on CANIDAE and I switched them to [another brand] and they were so gassy. With help from my local pet food store, Canine Creek Dog Wash & Pet Boutique in Tehachapi, CA, I was able to make the decision to try a food that was grain-free and I went with CANIDAE Grain Free All Life Stages and I am so happy with it! I could not imagine feeding my dogs a low quality dog food. It's because of the good food that I have some of the best looking Danes I have ever seen and that is thanks to CANIDAE Grain Free All Life Stages and Canine Creek! All I can say is thank you thank you thank you!!! I have recommended Canine Creek and CANIDAE to so many of my friends and family and even people that stop me on the street and ask me what I feed my dogs and where they can get it. I have attached a photo of Daphne and Stetson for you. I am a very happy customer! :)

"Today he is doing very well, and loves his CANIDAE dog food"

1/28/2010
-
has been on CANIDAE Lamb and Rice for four yearsThis is a picture of Neko, our CANIDAE dog. He is going to be 12 years old in August and in response to food allergies has been on CANIDAE Lamb and Rice for four years. Last Spring he came down with leg cancer and, as you can see, had his right front leg removed. Today he is doing very well, and loves his CANIDAE dog food.

Neko was adopted as a puppy from the Animal Shelter in Jackson, Michigan in October of 1998. He is officially listed on his dog license application as "Rottweiler Mix." (I would surmise Rottweiler, Doberman, and Lab.). He weighs 80 pounds. He is always on a line. He does not roam free. He liked to go for walks, (primarily before he lost his leg), but still loves to go for rides in the conversion van, and as the picture depicts, loves to go rafting in the Summer. He is in remarkably good shape and continues to be, even though the average dog now has a leg up on him. It was because he was in such good shape that the veterinarian felt he was a candidate for the surgery last Spring that saved his life.

"Myloh is now a happy healthy dog"

1/25/2010
-
We switched to CANIDAEAfter a stay with a local animal rescue organization, Myloh joined our family in February of last year. The first few months, she continued to eat the store brand dog food that the rescue had been feeding her. Her shedding and digestive problems, however, were very unpleasant and very uncomfortable for her. After doing research on dog food brands, we switched to CANIDAE and the result has been amazing! Myloh is now a happy healthy dog with little shedding and no traces of her previous digestive problems.

Thanks, CANIDAE!

"Duke is fit and trim and full of energy!"

1/20/2010

Gunner loves CANIDAEDuke has been with us since he was 9 weeks old. Today is his 16 month birthday. We received him from a breeder in Clinton, NY called Eli-Brook Breeders. Duke is as playful as he is good looking. I really am sincere when I say he does not have a mean bone in his 80 lb. body. Duke's favorite games are retrieving softballs, Frisbees and various hunting toys. Although I do not hunt, I've been told his large paws, strong shoulders and soft mouth would make him an ideal hunting partner. Our 14 year old son and 13 year old daughter really enjoy him and are developing life long memories with him each and every day! Between your healthy food and the lake, Duke is fit and trim and full of energy!

Thanks,
Mark W., Auburn, NY

"Ryan spoke so highly of your dog food I decided to try it"

Gunner loves CANIDAEI have been working and training my new German Shorthaired Pointer puppy with Ryan Byler. Ryan introduced me to your dog food and I have been feeding it to my puppy Gunner and he loves it! I'm new to California and it was nice to find out about your product. I was feeding him [another brand] because it was what I could find and I trusted the name. Ryan spoke so highly of your dog food I decided to try it. My dog Gunner really likes it and the quality seems great! I attached a recent picture of Gunner on point. He is now 13 weeks old and showing signs of great hunting instincts.

"CANIDAE allowed a little lost soul to regain her physical strength"

1/11/2010

regain her physical strengthThank you CANIDAE from the bottom of my heart. Mae: Advanced Obedience, 90 per cent Agility and 18 months of abuse! It is my great delight to offer a new life to Mae, the abused Border Collie, who I adopted in 2006.  I cannot take all the credit. I did extensive research of all pet foods available to me and was proud of myself for knowing enough about nutrition to choose CANIDAE. CANIDAE allowed a little lost soul to regain her physical strength and now she shows a renewed confidence in her appearance. In so doing her mind grew! With your help I will continually strive to motivate Mae, and in reality, she will motivate me to be the best that I can be.

Thank you again,

"I have tried others, but nothing beats CANIDAE"

CANIDAE is the BEST dog food
1/4/2010 - This is Pooka our Rottweiler/Mastiff mix. She is three years old now and has been on CANIDAE since I got her at 3 months old. She never lets me forget it's time for "supper".

CANIDAE is the BEST dog food! I have tried others, but nothing beats CANIDAE. I also have a 3 year old Great Dane/Mastiff mix and a 10 year old SharPei mix; they are also from rescues. (I am now banned from Petfinder! LOL!) They also eat CANIDAE and thrive on it.

I always get compliments on how great their coats look. They are all sooooo healthy! Also another HUGE plus is the clean-up! With three BIG dogs... the less pooty the better!!

I also buy the canned CANIDAE. I take small scoops of it and freeze it. They make great dog treats! I tell everyone I know about CANIDAE! Thanks for making such a great dog food!!

Blessings

"She is growing her hair faster and looks much better"

CANIDAE Grain Free Salmon she is growing her hair faster
12/14/2009 - I'm sending this picture of Ruby, me and my husband rescued her 5 months ago from a horrible situation. She had been abandoned in a barn somewhere in Colorado. She was pregnant, emaciated, with worms and no hair at all. She was basically a wild dog. She was living with another one that we supposed was her mom. She is a Australian Cattle dog, or Red Heeler. She has came a long way now, she is better with people and loves to play with other dogs. I just started her on CANIDAE Grain Free Salmon a month ago and I'm so happy because she has really bad food allergies and her hair grew super slow. So now thanks to the 40% protein in CANIDAE Grain Free Salmon she is growing her hair faster and looks much better! I bought this bag of food today and she was ready to eat (that's why she is taring at it). She has a coat, not because I like fashion but because we live in Fraser, Colorado 1-1/2 hours from Denver in the valley at more than 8000 feet, so it gets super cold. It's been snowing really hard! So since she has no hair on her belly she needs protection!!! I hope you enjoy this picture, and thanks more making such a good food!!!

"It's Given Us a Second Chance With Our Beloved Hines"

Canine Diabetes and dog food. I settled on CANIDAE Lamb & Rice
12/7/2009 - This is Hines. He is a 6-year-old Rottweiler. Hines was diagnosed with Diabetes on November 8th, 2008. At that time, he was eating a so called "premium" dog food. He weighed 126 pounds and his blood sugar was 493. Since he also has a sensitive stomach, our vet told us not to change his dog food, we would adjust his insulin accordingly. After several months of blood sugars in the 400 to 500 range and getting 38 units of NPH insulin twice a day, which we were still increasing, I decided I needed to make a change. I needed to get his diabetes under control, not only for his health but for his eyesight. Cataracts are a major complication of Diabetes. It's not a matter of if they get them, but when. The longer their numbers are over 200, the sooner they will develop cataracts. I spent countless hours researching Canine Diabetes and dog food. I settled on CANIDAE Lamb & Rice, for 2 reasons. The first one was the quality, the second was the price. It's extremely expensive taking care of a diabetic pet. I'm happy to report that Hines has been on CANIDAE Lamb & Rice since February 21, 2009. His blood sugars are staying steady in the mid 100 range, his weight is great and his coat is beautiful. He used to vomit at least twice a week. Now he very rarely does, and that's only when he's bad and gets in the mulch. Unfortunately, his eyes are getting a little cloudy, but I know that we are doing everything that we can to take the best care of him. With the high quality of CANIDAE, I'm able to feed him less than the other foods, and I've been able to decrease his insulin to 24 units twice a day, which saves us a lot of money. At his last check up his vet was extremely pleased. I make sure I tell everybody about CANIDAE food, and how it's given us a second chance with our beloved Hines.

Thank you,
Donna M.

"He Was Offered CANIDAE and Has Done Wonderful Ever Since"

He Was Offered CANIDAE And Has Done Wonderful Ever Since11/30/2009 - Stewart was rescued from horrible conditions when he was 8 weeks old. He was living in filthy conditions and not being taken care of. He was found almost lifeless, his gums and tongue were white, he was covered in fleas. When I picked him up cockroaches scattered (they had been eating his hair). I took him straight to my wonderful vet, who removed most of the fleas, instructed me on how to care for him to help build him back-up and wished me luck, advising the next 48 hours would be crucial to his survival. That was 5 years ago!

Once he could eat dog food, he was offered CANIDAE and has done wonderful ever since. He still has some health issues, but nothing that slows him down. We were unable to get CANIDAE temporarily and had to rely on a popular brand of dog food the vet carried. Every one of our 7 dogs ended up with skin and hair issues. Within 2 weeks of being back on CANIDAE they cleared up.

Thank You CANIDAE!

"Maverick’s Story: The Upset Tummy"

I put Maverick on the Grain Free CANIDAE10/30/2009 - My Golden Retriever, Maverick, has had a sensitive stomach since he turned 5. I have tried every kind of dog food on the market. He was on a weight loss formula for the past 2-1/2 years and Maverick was able to tolerate the brand with some supplements. Then the company discontinued the food. I had no idea what to do. My Papillon puppy, Annabelle, was also trying to eat the food, so feeding my two dogs became a hassle every night. Keeping Maverick out of Annabelle’s food was a battle and the nights were filled with chasing Maverick outside to go to the bathroom before it hit my carpet.

A friend who fosters dogs told me about CANIDAE dog food. I looked into it and was unsure if it could really help Maverick, but I gave it a try. I put Maverick on the Grain Free CANIDAE dog food and he gobbled it up! It has worked GREAT! He has been on it for about six months now, and I can now feed both of my dogs the same food.

Maverick has not had to run to the backdoor in the middle of the night and mommy can stay in bed. I appreciate your company for making the Grain Free CANIDAE dog food. I don’t know what I would have done if we hadn’t found your food.

Sincerely,

"The results after one month spoke for themselves"

Monte Carpo de Algonza10/25/2009 - Monte Carpo de Algonza breeds Afghan Hounds, German Shepherds, Yorkshire Terriers and St. Bernards. We have a good reputation for breeding high quality dogs in Costa Rica, but were struggling to find a high-quality nutritional pet food that satisfied all of our breeds. We tried all the different options on the market without success.

At one point, we were feeding almost each dog a different brand and type of food. When you have a lot of dogs, this solution becomes a difficult chore every day. CANIDAE came to the Costa Rican market and we decided after a lot of study to try it.

CANIDAE came to the Costa Rican marketThe results after one month spoke for themselves. The St. Bernards and German Shepherds gained weight and looked beautiful. The Afghan Hounds and Yorkshires now show a shiny healthy coat, and they loved the food. We now feed only two varieties - All Life Stages and Lamb and Rice for the puppies, adults and pregnant bitches. Also, our costs are lower compared to other brands.

Can't get any better!

"Couldn’t be more excited for the arrival of my CANIDAE Dog Food"

Best Costume contest with the prize being a one year supply of CANIDAE Dog Food8/31/2009 - On August 22 I participated in the first annual Paw Walk and float parade and adoption event in Canton, Michigan.  Almost 200 people attended the walk and almost $6,000 was raised for the Humane Society of Huron Valley (HSHV).  I entered my dog, Ohana, in the Best Costume contest with the prize being a one year supply of CANIDAE Dog Food.  We were lucky enough to be chosen as the winner of the contest and were awarded 12 months of food in any formula we wish. I chose CANIDAE All Life Stages. Ohana’s costume was inspired by the Caterpillar character in the movie Alice in Wonderland. It consisted of a mushroom float which I built along with a caterpillar costume that I made.  Ohana sat atop the mushroom float as he rolled down the Paw Walk trail. It was a great joy and honor to be selected as the winner for HSHV Valley Paw Walk Best Costume Contest and I couldn’t be more excited for the arrival of my CANIDAE Dog Food.  I am also very thankful for and proud of Ohana for being so patient and well-mannered while dressed in his Caterpillar attire.

"I can feed all my dogs the same food!"

8/28/2009 - I wanted to tell you about my little Yorkie Bandit. He was very sick as a baby and had surgery to save his life. The vet had to remove a portion of his intestine. He was put on a special vet formula food as he has a touchy stomach and had bouts of vomiting and diarrhea.

After years of being on vet formulas, I decided to transition him over to another food. I chose CANIDAE as my other dogs were already on it and doing great. Well, Bandit has been on CANIDAE three years now with no problems.

I'm so grateful I can feed all my dogs the same food!

"All my animals are thriving on it"

I went camping and forgot to grab my canned CANIDAE8/19/2009 - I went camping and forgot to grab my canned CANIDAE and purchased a grocery store brand to make do and my puppy refused it, my senior threw up every time she ate it. I feel that's testimony enough of how great your food really is. All my animals are thriving on it and it's really helped my senior's skin and coat. The red one is Princess and she is 13. The black one is Moose and he is four months old.

"The best dog food in the world"

The best dog food in the world7/22/2009 - After years of doctors encouraging me to get a Service Dog, I finally took the leap and bought a Golden Retriever puppy who I named Hannah. Together the two of us made many sacrifices to get her trained and raised as a "certified" Service Dog. Hannah was born on January 1, 2004 and died before her third birthday. In October 2006 I noticed Hannah's breath smelled foul. Checking her teeth I believed they needed to be cleaned. She showed no other notable signs or symptoms of anything being wrong. I made a vet appointment. The vet drew blood to see if she could withstand anesthesia for dental work. The test results showed massive kidney failure. Hannah, the love of my life, kept from me how much she bad been suffering. I chose to put her to sleep.

I went to the police department and filed charges stating that someone in my apartment complex put antifreeze in her outside water bowl. I knew of no other reason for her death. Personally, I practiced eating high-quality, nutritional, organic food. Foolishly and mistakenly, however, I trusted the literature printed on dog food bags. The detective at the police department had Hannah's kidneys removed by the vet to send them off to a criminal-forensic lab. The vet described her kidney's as "bulbous and covered with cysts" - unrecognizable any longer as kidneys. A few months after Hannah's death, my research and the national news revealed that dogs across the country were dying of dog food poisoning. Most shockingly, the dog food my vet had recommended soon became listed as one of those containing the contaminant.

For six months after Hannah's death, I grieved. One day I got a call offering me a fully trained 16-month-old Service Dog, a Black Labrador named Morgan. I took him home to see if we could bond. Since April 2007 we have lived as family.

Because I wanted to approach raising Morgan as conscientiously as possible, I went to a local health food store, Walker's Healthy Pet, advertising its sale of only the highest, premium dog foods. Stephanie, the manager, kindly began educating me. She provided little bags of samples to take home. I could see Morgan liked all the samples offered so it became my job, not his, to decide his daily diet! After much due diligence, I chose what I considered the best source of nutrition for a dog on the market. After what happened to Hannah, I learned not to believe simple marketing deceptions.

With much care, then, I chose the CANIDAE All Life Stage Formula to uphold Morgan's health. I had become intrigued that one bag of dog food could satisfy the nutritional needs of puppies, adults, working, and senior dogs. Let me share a few of its wonderful qualities that attracted me to this dog food. CANIDAE adds multiple protein sources, uses no corn, soy, wheat, grain fractions, or fillers, uses chelated minerals making the food easier to digest and absorb, balances out protein and fats used with vitamins and minerals, and buys food ingredients from only companies in the United States.

I also learned from my pet food supplier, Stephanie, that even though CANIDAE grew into her store's leading product, Customer Service at the corporate level remains down-to-earth, listening to the needs of consumers. I chose CANIDAE because it met my highest expectations: the best dog food in the world.

"I knew it was going to work wonders for poor Rocco"

my neighbor found a small dog hiding behind a dumpster6/18/2009 - In late June, my neighbor found a small dog hiding behind a dumpster and barely alive. The first picture shows how malnourished he was. My neighbor rescued this little guy and took him to the vet. He had a very high fever, was far too thin, and was infested with ants. It didn't look good.

I told my neighbor I would foster him until a home could be found. With two other big dogs that are a huge part of my life, and because I had just started a new business, I didn't think I needed another dog. Shortly after bringing him home though I knew the fostering idea had gone out the window. By his second day with me I had already named him "Rocco."

"Thank you for making such a wonderful food"

Tanao's allergic symptoms have lessened6/18/2009
- I have 3 very different dogs, Happy a 5 year old Beagle Cross, Tanao an 8 year old Black Lab/Shepard Cross & Irish a 2 year old pure breed Chinese SharPei. Tanao has a lot of food allergies. Happy would often go on hunger strikes. Irish, due to breed, is prone to allergies and different skin infections. When we got Irish we put all of our dogs on CANIDAE All Life Stages and switched to CANIDAE Snap-Biscuits dog treats. Since that day Happy has never gone on a hunger strike, Tanao's allergic symptoms have lessened and all three dogs are regularly complimented on their beautiful, shiny coats. Their poos are also much easier to deal with - less smelly and more firm. We enjoy not having to buy 3 different dog foods to cater to each dog and the CANIDAE system has certainly benefited our dogs. Tanao, at 8 years old, romps around like a puppy - lots of energy and no joint problems. Thank you for making such a wonderful food that we trust and recommend to all pet owners.

"She was the healthiest looking and the most social"

I'm so satisfied with CANIDAE dog food6/17/2009
- I'm so satisfied with CANIDAE dog food and so is "Tiara" my four pound Maltese puppy! Went to a Maltese puppy party with 21 dogs and I thought she was the healthiest looking and the most social -- that all attributes to her being satisfied with her daily food!

Her pictures says it all, "I'm sitting on top of the world -- wuf wuf!"

"I've learned another important thing from my baby Shadow"

I am still feeding CANIDAE dog food6/10/2009
- I am still feeding CANIDAE dog food, both dry and canned, to Coco and Shadow [see story below]. A friend of mine gave me a coupon from a different premium brand for a free bag of dry dog food. I redeemed it at the store and tried to feed it to my dogs. Coco, my "bottomless pit" of course ate it. On the other hand, Shadow turned his nose up at it and simply refused. After several futile attempts to feed him the other premium brand, I simply dumped the bag of food outside at a local forest preserve for the outside critters and promptly bought another large bag of the CANIDAE ALS dry dog food. Shadow reminded me how difficult it was for him to digest various dry dog foods prior to finding CANIDAE. If he could talk, he'd be shouting, "Mom, What are you doing to me!?" Once again, I've learned another important thing from my baby Shadow.

Sincerely,
Nancy N

"Thank you for caring about all of us four footed creatures"

Havanese brother and sister, Desi and Lucy6/4/2009 - We'd like to introduce ourselves. We are Havanese brother and sister, Desi and Lucy and have enclosed a picture of us. Desi is the larger one and Lucy his sister a little bit smaller than him. We will be two years old in August of this year.

We would like to let you know how much we really, really like your Grain Free All Life Stages (Chicken, Turkey, Lamb and Fish) Dry Formula dog food. Our Mom bought it for us and we have cleaned our plates at each meal. She says that maybe it's too healthy for us as we run and play continuously, sometimes we get to rough housing in the house and that will make her kind of mad at us. We really are quite adorable (we've been told so by many people) and love the energy we have. I Desi, have malformed hips and when I get older I will no doubt switch to your Platinum formula but for now not much slows me down. Thank you for caring about all of us four footed creatures and giving us such a good product.

"He showed improvement in only a couple of weeks"

Team Air Gunner5/28/2009 - Gunner, a 3 year old Chocolate Lab, came to us because the previous owners could not keep him for unknown reasons. Gunner was only 3 months old at that time. We started him in obedience training and he quickly showed us he had potential.

In 2007, we attended a sport, vacation & boat show and part of the show was a dock diving event. We really enjoyed watching the dogs fly through the air and land in the water. In 2008, we decided to give it a try to see how Gunner would react to jumping in the water. Gunner’s first event was in Ft. Wayne, IN. It took some effort to get Gunner to jump, but he finally did with hesitation. His very first jump was one foot, ten inches. After competing in dock diving events we became hooked on the sport and Team Air Gunner was formed. Myself and our daughter Krista handle Gunner. Now a year later and with several events under his paws, Gunner enjoys the events and speeds down the dock to leap into the water. As of May 2009 Gunner’s personal best is 19' 2".

"After the switch we noticed healthier coats"

After the switch we noticed healthier coats5/26/2009 - We used to feed our two Golden's (Dakota and Grizz) a food often recommended by veterinarians before the big dog food scandal a couple of years ago. When that occurred my wife did a lot of research and found out that we were not feeding our dogs healthy food as we thought we were. So after some research, we came across CANIDAE dog food that was sold locally and had all the nutritional benefits that our two active dogs need. After the switch we noticed healthier coats in both, and in our 10 year old Dakota, she was doing much better with her joints. Thanks CANIDAE for an excellent product for Dakota and Grizz!

"They continue to be amazed at how healthy he is"

Tyler loves his CANIDAE All Life Stages5/4/2009 - On early Monday morning, July 7, 2008 one of my colleagues found a dog lying along the side of a dirt road. He was badly injured around his head. "Tyler" was brought to a veterinary clinic here in Bixby. The vet was given money to cover the cost of putting him down in case she was unable to save him.

The vet determined through examination and x-rays that Tyler had suffered a severe injury to the right side of his mouth. The injuries included the loss of three upper teeth and a fractured lower jaw. The x-rays showed many bone and teeth fragments that had been "blown" into the flesh in his neck area. None of the fragments were close to the spinal column, thereby not requiring risky surgery. The vet and her staff nursed Tyler back to health and after two months of having his jaw wired and gaining strength, we adopted Tyler and brought him home on September 11th.

When Tyler was brought to the clinic he weighed 21 pounds and in her estimation, was one day from death. As of this date, May 1, 2009 Tyler weighs 46 pounds and as seen in the photo has a very shiny thick coat. Since we brought Tyler home he has been on a steady diet of CANIDAE All Life Stages formula along with the Chicken & Rice formula, and Chicken, Lamb and Fish formula canned foods. Each month we take Tyler back to the clinic to have his nails trimmed and they continue to be amazed at how healthy he is and how good his coat continues to look. The veterinarian has said that his nails grow very fast and it must be the food we are feeding him. We are convinced that the CANIDAE products we have fed Tyler since we brought him home have allowed him to totally recover and to continue to be healthy. Tyler is a wonderful dog and is extremely intelligent and LOVES everyone, both people and dogs.

"Its protein level and calories are ideal"

CANIDAE ALS Chicken, Turkey, Lamb and Fish4/14/2009 - Jiggs is a three month old French Bulldog. At three months, his breeder recommended that he be taken off puppy food and put on an adult or all life stage dry food to slow the growth of his skeletal structure to prevent some of the orthopedic problems sometimes occurring in bulldogs, such as hip dysplasia. After a considerable amount of research I decided that the new formula CANIDAE ALS Chicken, Turkey, Lamb and Fish meal was my hands down choice. The first three ingredients are meat meal and it is relatively low in carbohydrates, most of which are the “good” carbs. Its protein level and calories are ideal in that they were not too high and not too low for a puppy. I was also impressed by the fact that the food was blended and manufactured by Diamond a company with an outstanding reputation for quality control. My only concern was if it was palatable and I found that mixing the dry with a tablespoon of canned was well received by Jiggs. He seems very happy and so am I since his stools are solid and easy to pick up.

"Rubie is now running and playing like a puppy"

Rubie before CANIDAE Platinum4/7/2009 - It was November 18, 2006 when Rubie stepped on the scale at Glenwood Vet Clinic in Glenwood, Iowa and had climbed to 105 pounds. Rubie should weigh anywhere from 65-70 pounds. Rubie is a medium sized mix breed dog (chow/lab mix) that we believe was dumped after Christmas 1998 as a puppy. We think she was about four months old, so we designated November 1st to be Rubie’s birthday.

When Rubie joined our household we had two other dogs and free feeding seemed to work out good us. Then in November 1999 we moved and I took over the reigns of running a boarding kennel. Two years later we had to move again. We left the kennel and then moved just outside of Malvern, Iowa in the country. When we left the kennel, we left with four more dogs, totaling seven. We still continued to free feed for quite some time and that is when Rubie really started to climb the scale. I always joked about wanting to blame my older brother for Rubie’s weight gain. When he stayed with us for a time I would come home and catch him feeding Rubie a sandwich, a whole sandwich. I would ask him what he was doing and he replied "she is hungry." I replied, "I bet she is," only to find out that my brother seemed to think that Rubie needed a sandwich every time he had one. When people would come over to visit they would comment on how heavy she was and it broke my heart. When Rubie got to the point where she could hardly reach around to clean herself and struggled walking up stairs or just stand up I knew I had to take control. In November 2006 she topped the scale at 105 pounds. Rubie has arthritis and her weight was a serious problem.

CANIDAE Platinum weight loss dog foodThe veterinarian at Glenwood Vet Clinic put Rubie on a prescription diet. I had to stop free feeding and switch to feeding twice a day. This was the beginning of my taking control of my dogs' lives. We returned to the vet clinic in December 2006 and she weighed in at 102.6 pounds. I was really hoping to see better results, but it had only been a short time on this new diet and eating schedule. I continued to feed the prescription diet but Rubie was not responding to it very well. She knew the other dogs were eating something else and if I didn’t keep a close eye on her she would bully her way into someone else's bowl. By February 2007 Rubie weighed in at 97.8 pounds and then again in August her weight was 96.6 pounds. This was a total of 8.4 pounds lost but I felt I needed to change something. I needed to find a high quality food that I could feed all of my dogs. I contacted Tracy at Paw Prints in Glenwood to help me research different foods and what would work best for not just Rubie but all of my dogs. I wanted a food that not only would help in promoting good health, but a food that they would all like. I decided to try CANIDAE Platinum.

In addition to changing Rubie’s diet I had to get over my denial thinking that I was starving her by cutting down her food portion. After consulting with the vet, I switched all of my dogs' food to CANIDAE Platinum and I cut Rubie’s portion down to one cup in the AM and one cup for the PM feeding. To get over some of my guilt thinking I was starving her I would add some green beans as a filler from time to time. She thought it was great and I think she felt like she was getting something special. Rubie has quite the personality and she has a lot to say when it comes to feeding time.

I continued the CANIDAE Platinum diet and her weight started to drop. Rubie’s energy level started to increase and you could just tell she was feeling better and getting healthier. I was actually starting to see her hips. At one point Rubie was so heavy that you could have used her back as a self. Not only have I noticed the weight starting to drop but her skin and coat improved too.

Rubie and I went into the Glenwood Vet Clinic on October 3, 2008 and she stepped on the scale. Rubie weighed in at 71 pounds, which is a 34 pound weight loss. The veterinarian and I were amazed and just downright excited. The vet praised me and gave me a pat the back and said it was my efforts that made the difference. Rubie and I returned on January 17, 2009 and she weighed in at 67.2 pounds for a grand total of 37.8 pounds gone!

Rubie is now running and playing like a puppy. She climbs steps with ease. She bats her ball around the yard like a soccer player. Everything about her overall health has improved drastically. Rubie turned ten on November 1, 2008 and I believe that due to the weight loss she has gained years of her life back. This has also helped all of my dogs manage their weight. I have control now.

The veterinarian finally said the words I wanted to here for a long time. It’s time to level her off, she is at a perfect weight now.

I just have to say to all of you out there that think you are depriving your family's pets, because you think you are starving them, GET OVER IT. I did, and it paid off big. I believe with the help from the Vet, the Vet Clinic, Paw Prints, CANIDAE Platinum and just thinking about what was in Rubie’s best interest, this was truly our key to success! We as pet owners really need to take a better look at what we are feeding our animals and whether we are doing what is in their best interest.

Rubie is truly a success story for our family and we wanted to share our story with you.

Sincerely,
Shari M. & Rubie

"The mood and ability of my animals markedly improved"

Cottonwood Kennels feeds CANIDAE3/9/2009 - I began working with sled dogs at the age of 6 after going for a run with a family friend. Now 17, I am a high school senior in my final year and manage Cottonwood Kennels, a small racing/recreational operation of 11 huskies. My dogs currently range in age from 9 to just yearlings. Because I enjoy working with my dogs as individuals and appreciate the skills that older dogs obtain, I have never gotten into the breeding end of sled dogs. The majority of my animals come from larger kennels that may not have the manpower to utilize each dog’s potential, or they enter our yard with physical issues or personality “quirks”. Every year as our season begins, the dogs begin to settle down and develop into a cohesive unit, which I feel both honored and humbled to observe.

"You've given us hope that we will have him for many more years"

Rottweiler diagnosed with Diabetes eats CANIDAE3/2/2009
- I’m writing this letter because of how impressed I am with CANIDAE Lamb & Rice dog food. We have a Rottweiler, who will be 6-years-old on May 16th, and was diagnosed with Diabetes on November 8, 2008.

We had always fed him a name brand food. When he was first diagnosed, I was told not to change his food, that I should adjust his insulin to his food. I went home and looked at the ingredients in his food. The first 2 ingredients were ground whole grain corn and chicken by-product meal. I am very familiar with diabetes, so I knew that a food that was primarily corn was definitely not something I wanted to feed any dog, let alone a diabetic one. Plus, what the heck is “chicken by-product meal”? That’s when I hit the web trying to find a dog food that was free of corn and by-products. I also realized just how expensive some of these quality foods were. Hines went from a dog that had only eaten one brand of dog food his entire life, to eating 3 different brands in 4 months, none of which helped his blood sugar. My last two choices were CANIDAE and one other premium brand.

I finally decided to give the CANIDAE Lamb & Rice a try. Before I made the switch I was giving him 38 units of NPH insulin twice a day, and his blood sugars were still running in the 300 to 400 range. He was lethargic, drank obsessively, needed to go out constantly, throwing up occasionally, had TERRIBLE gas, and we were all down right miserable. He started the CANIDAE on a Friday night. On Sunday night my husband noticed he was acting very erratic. He checked his sugar and it was 50. I decided that I had better decrease his insulin because it was obvious this food was decreasing his blood sugars. Monday morning I decreased his insulin from 35 units to 30 units. Monday night, he had another hypo incident. As scary as the hypos were, I was starting to get excited that maybe I had finally found the right food. I knew your food was a quality food, but I didn’t think it would make that big of a difference that quickly. Tuesday morning, I decreased his insulin yet again, from 30 to 28 units. That evening he was only at 143. I was a little nervous that the 143 might still be a little too low, so I decreased him once again, all the way down to 20 units. He has been on 20 units twice a day for 3 days now, and his sugars are averaging 261. I realize that I still need to tweak his dosage for optimum numbers, but I now feel that we may finally get him under control. We are actually saving money with this food. One vial of insulin should last us almost twice as long as before, plus with the higher kcals, he’s eating less and feeling more satisfied.

The other day we were in a pet store. I was browsing the treats when a woman asked if I needed any help. I said that I was just looking over the treats but that my dog was a diabetic and I had to be careful what I gave him. She asked what I was feeding him and I proudly said “CANIDAE Lamb & Rice”. She told me that was a good choice because it is a quality dog food. It turns out she was a rep for another pet food company. Needless to say, that made me feel even better about my choice when a competitor gives a compliment about their competition.

We’d like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for providing such a quality food at a great price. Hines is such a big part of our family, and we were devastated when he was diagnosed.  You've given us hope that we will have him for many more years. I will definitely recommend your food to others. In fact, I already have.

Maggie and Layla

Queensland Heelers Eat CANIDAE2/27/2009 - Maggie and Layla are CANIDAE All Life Stages eaters. Do you ever have coupons for your dog food, or samples? If you do would you please send some to me? Times are tough and I don't want to have to switch food on my two dogs. Thanks for you help.

"Reformulated products are still terrific"

Queensland Heelers Eat CANIDAE2/19/2009
- I think your reformulated products are still terrific. My own experience was with my Basset Hound, who was being fed another premium brand and vomiting every day. I switched him to CANIDAE Lamb and Rice and no more vomiting. He also loves it. I recently added the Snap Biscuits.

"All my breeds can’t wait for feeding time to get their CANIDAE!"

All my breeds can’t wait for feeding time to get their CANIDAE!2/17/2009
- As owner/trainer of Rocket’s K-9 Comets Frisbee Dog Stars and the FIDO 500 Mini Dog Races… I have been feeding various dog foods to
my teams for over 30 years. My teams of dogs include such a variety of sizes and breeds from Pointers, Labs, Australian Cattle Dogs, Catahoula Leopard Dogs and Chesapeake Bay retrievers in my Frisbee show; to Pugs, Beagles, Chihuahuas, Cairn terriers and Chinese Cresteds in my Mini Dog Races.

For the last 10 years, since 1999, I have had the honor and privilege to feed ALL of my dogs CANIDAE dog food exclusively. By feeding all the different breeds the same dog food, it allows me to see the incredible nutrition that CANIDAE offers the complete spectrum of canines. From the hard working Cattle dogs and Labs, to the little finicky Pugs and Chihuahuas there is nothing better for vitality, coat and overall wellness that I have found.

Frisbee Dogs The palatability is amazing as all my breeds can’t wait for feeding time to get their CANIDAE! With the final customization of being able to pick out a certain type of CANIDAE dog food such as Lamb, Fish, the All Life Stages food or the Senior formula to fit each dogs preference; the quality remains superb at all levels. It is all the finest quality I have seen in 30 years of dog training!

I don’t just recommend, but will promise, that anyone who owns any breed of dog; you will get the optimum wellness, vitality and beautiful coat that you have always been looking for by feeding CANIDAE dog food to your pet or working dog. The results for me stand alone. After so many years of trying to “get it right” on picking the best food for my wonderful dogs, the choices and quality of CANIDAE dog food has left me looking no more.

For me and all my dogs, it’s CANIDAE, everyday, for health, nutrition and vitality!

Sincerely,
Rocket Hoskins

"They eat every bite, every day!"

Queensland Heelers Eat CANIDAE2/9/2009
- Here is a picture of my 5 Queensland Heelers, who are not photogenic! Their ages are 16, 3 are 9 and one is 10. I have had them on CANIDAE PLATINUM for over 2 years. They are doing very well on it with nice healthy coats, healthy stools and in general, over all good health, including the 16 yr old. They eat every bite, every day. I highly recommend this product to anyone owning dogs and feel the company is trustworthy and they stand behind their product 100%. Keep up the good work, CANIDAE!

"I consider that CANIDAE played a major part in his living so long"

I consider that CANIDAE played a major part in his living so long2/5/2009
- Krieger is an 'easy keeper'; a dog who gains weight on very little food. Kriegs is a dog I got from the brother of a friend and I wasn't aware of how quickly he gained weight. He was 'portly' at the time I got him and ended up 'I-can't-believe-it!' in very short order. I don't know what food he was on but I only feed CANIDAE so I put him on a diet with confidence, knowing that he was getting absolutely everything he needed nutritionally.

Reborn was a Bouvier who was rescued from a horrible situation which included having had a puppyhood of low quality, substandard food. At 15 months old, he had rickets and was terribly underweight. He was also an emotional wreck.

As soon as CANIDAE came on the market, I switched from another premium brand and have never been sorry. Reebie died at the age of 11 and I consider that CANIDAE played a major part in his living so long, considering his terrible nutritional beginning. Here are some pics of the 'CANIDAE' Reborn.

"We recommend CANIDAE to all the new owners"

We recommend Canidae to all the new owners1/28/2009
- This is Emiko, our 10 week old shiba inu. She loves her CANIDAE. She climbed 3 feet off the floor and sat down in a flower pot. She was telling me she was ready for her breakfast! When we got Little Emiko and her sister Kuma they both looked like little balloons. Their bellies were so bloated. It didn't take more than a week for them to slim down and just look plump and healthy. We breed Shiba Inu's and we recommend CANIDAE to all the new owners. It is a high quality dog food and available in all area's. I print info off your website and include it in our puppy paks. I noticed pamphlets when I was buying their food the other day. How could I go about getting some?

"I really believe in this food; Rex is my living proof"

I really believe in CANIDAE; Rex is my living proof1/26/2009
- I have three large dogs. Ages 12 years old, 5 years old and my baby is a white German/wolf Shepard dog (3 years old). His name is REX. Rex is a special dog, he has allergies and had suffered from seizures. (Knock on wood Rex has not had a seizure for 1 year know). Rex has been on CANIDAE for 1 1/2 years know. I find CANIDAE the best food for him. Before when he wasn't on this great food he was getting diarrhea from the other brand(s) I had been feeding him. As of today Rex is doing great. I really believe in this food; Rex is my living proof. No more diarrhea, his coat is nice and shiny, sheds less and even his teeth are pearly white. I recommend this food 100%. I know Rex and our other 2 dogs will have less vet visits and live a longer happier healthier life. Thank you CANIDAE for coming out with this Superior Quality food. I would recommend this for all dogs and cats.

"CANIDAE has made an impressive, nutritious dog food"

CANIDAE has made an impressive, nutritious dog food1/16/2009
- Just want to let you know. This is the 3rd, 35 lb bag of CANIDAE, All Life Stage Formula, Dry Dog Food I've purchased for my two adult male Labs, Coco and Shadow. The dogs love it. Overall, CANIDAE has made an impressive, nutritious dog food and I was convinced to try it for my two dogs.

Thank you for keeping your prices ' in check ' competitively. With two large breed dogs it gets quite expensive to feed them. Your 35 lb bag, remains about 7 dollars cheaper than many other brands. The ' better ' dog foods. I won't compromise on quality of dog food. I realize it's extremely important to feed my dogs Good Healthy food. However, the extra savings in purchasing CANIDAE over the other leading brand, is a big help.

Thank You again for making such a Great Nutritious Dog Food. I have convinced two of my close friends which have large breeds... Golden Retriever and Husky to feed their dogs CANIDAE All Life Stages... just recently. Both dogs suffer from skin/allergy conditions and both dogs were eating another brand. It's a real shame that so many vets promote horrible dog food.

Keep up the Good Work and know, not only are consumers purchasing your product, but there are those of us who really Appreciate what you are doing for our canine extended family members.

Sincerely,
Nancy N

"We always tell our students about CANIDAE"

We always tell our students about CANIDAE1/15/2009
- I am trying to get my vets here in Vicksburg to contact a local distributor for wholesale information to start selling CANIDAE here at my animal clinic. I am trying to get through to them that what they are selling now has corn gluten meal in it and is not suitable foods for them to sell and it is over priced.

We always tell our students about CANIDAE Dog Food in our obedience classes and explain the problems with corn and wheat gluten meal and the necessity of looking at the first five ingredients listed on pet foods. We also explain what chicken by-products can contain, which grosses them out! I would like very much to have brochures from CANIDAE to pass out at my classes if that is possible.

I have been using CANIDAE All Life Styles since 2002. I have five large dogs: 2 rottweilers, 1 doberman, 1 otterhound and 1 Benji "mutt" dog. I have attached a photo (excuse my hand on her tail since I didn't phase it out) of my multiple group winning otterhound, CH: Belle River Dixieland Jazz, better known as "Jazzy". She had just won 2 five point majors, Best in Sweepstakes, Winner's Bitch and Best of Winners to finish her Championship at 17 months of age. I thought she might brighten your day.

"Thank you so much for your commitment to quality food"

Canidae Platinum1/12/2009
- Thank you, thank you, thank you for making such an amazing product! I've been feeding CANIDAE ALS to my Pembrooke Welsh Corgi, Cooper, and have been amazed at what it's done for him. I'll admit that I did switch to another "high quality" brand for about 9 months (Why I did that I'll never really know; guess I just fell prey to some very clever advertising) and it wasn't until Cooper's health deteriorated and clumps of his fur started falling out that I realized I had made a major mistake. I switched back to CANIDAE and got my happy, healthy dog back. Cooper's fur grew in, his energy came back, his eyes were no longer runny and he lost that "doggy" smell that he acquired with the other brand. I will never again feed my pets anything other than CANIDAE! I tell everyone about your products because I feel so strongly about them. It kills me when I ask other pet owners what they feed their cat or dog and they tell me that it's a "high quality food" they get at their vet or at a mass retailer. If they only read the ingredients they'd see that it's mostly corn and fillers! It also costs a lot more than your food!

I was first introduced to your food by my mom whose mixed breed dog was suffering from severely itchy skin. My mom tried a variety of products to treat Penny's dry skin, but nothing worked -- until she found CANIDAE. Almost immediately, Penny's skin healed. She's been itch free for 9 years now and has the softest most beautiful coat to boot! When my sister got her black lab, George, she started him on CANIDAE too. I have to say that he has the shiniest coat that I have ever seen on a dog! I know it's all because of CANIDAE because the rest of his litter and his parents have been raised on regular old store brand food and they don't have half the muscle tone, energy or beautiful coat that George does!

Thank you so much for your commitment to quality food -- keep up the good work!

"I just wanted to let you know what a great food you are making"

Canidae Platinum1/10/2009
- About 8 or 9 months ago, I had quite a scare with one of my dogs. One evening, she would not get up and walk anywhere - not to go out, eat or drink. I was greatly concerned and rushed her to the vet. Her problem is arthritis - severe arthritis in her hips. One of her biggest problems causing her much pain to walk was her weight. The next day, I went to see Sue, the owner of "Tails of the Adirondacks" in Plattsburgh. She suggested I switch my dog to CANIDAE Platinum dog food. Here we are many months later and I am proud to say that my dog has lost 15 lbs.

She is a Beagle/Australian Shepard mix (Beagle body, Shepard markings). Before starting CANIDAE, she was 56 lbs. Now she goes between 40 and 45 lbs and running like she is a puppy again. She is going to be 11 years old in December and is a complete success story for your dog food. I tell everyone who asks me about your dog food. I just wanted to let you know what a great food you are making and thank you for doing so. Taylor, my dog, is very appreciative as well.

"Thanks for the great coats"

- Here is my CANIDAE fed boy at Nationals this year in Las Vegas. All three preshows we took 2nd place. In Puppy Sweeps we also took a 2nd. But Nationals was a third. My Open Red tri bitch took 2 second places and a 1st at the preshows. At Nationals we placed 2nd It was a great week for Woodlake Aussies and CANIDAE.

Thanks for the great coats!

"What a big difference"

Canidae Hound1/8/2009
- Hello Di. We had spoke awhile ago and I had mentioned the problems we had with our 6-1/2 month Golden Retriever, Cody when we got him from a breeder. Then I had told you my story and you wanted me to send this info. Sorry it took so long.

At first Cody wouldn't let us get to close to him, he was very timid. I took him to the Vet the day after we got him last April and she gave him a seal of approval. But, we started to notice he was still very timid and scratching all the time. It took about 2 weeks before I noticed sores all over his body. We went back to the Vet and she changed his food and that still didn't help too much. He was also on special baths and antibiotics. We had him have the allergy testing and it seemed he was allergic to a lot of things for such a young pup. Then I started to investigate.

I researched various dog food on the web and decided to go full blown with CANIDAE Chicken and Rice. I started to notice an improvement. Then I read about the new Chicken Meal and Rice formula and tracked that down in my area. What a big difference. Thank you CANIDAE for your wonderful food and dedication to the pet food industry. Please keep up the good work. Enclosed is a picture of Cody at 11 months old.

He now is 16 months old and a true Happy, and Healthy Golden, thanks to CANIDAE.

Thank you again.

"Look at the health of these kids"

Canidae Hound1/5/2009
- First of all I would like to thank you Jim for taking the time on the phone with me. And Diane was so great on the phone. She is a real professional. I was not as pleasant in the beginning having baggage from other companies and difficulties with vouchers. After our conversation I am certain of the commitment CANIDAE has made to both our dogs and its clients. I have been involved in dogs for 60 years. In CANIDAE I have found a wonderful package of excellent food and great customer service. I do as well like the choices within the CANIDAE family. I mainly use the ALS. My coats on my dogs are like silk and it minimizes my Vet bills because of good health. I am trying the beef and the Grain free on some of my crew (we have 18 dogs here) and so far they really like it, even my picky eaters. My dogs are performance dogs and sometimes it is hard to get them to eat enough to keep them looking good but not since CANIDAE came to us 4 years ago. I was worried about the change in your formula but my dogs transitioned well and I appreciate the mailer so I could understand why the change and how it could affect my feeding program. I like the idea of controlling the carb spike especially with the performance dogs. I am enclosing a picture of some of my crew. Look at the health of these kids. Thanks for the great job you do for us out here in the trenches!
