"I have never seen such a healthy, robust litter of babies"

12/15/2008 - We are active Breeders/Exhibitors of Champion Dobermans. We've always prided ourselves on the health and quality of our dogs, and have researched many many brands of dry kibble over the years to find what worked best for our dogs. They do not live in kennels or crates... they live in the house with us and are an integral part of our family. As such, they deserve the best we can do for them. They are not, however, fed table scraps and junk food.

Originally we fed another brand... and we were happy with it. Then the company changed the formula without notifying anyone. Many of us who fed that brand, however, began to notice a number of changes in our dogs... their coat quality, their stool consistency, vigor and stamina and other not-so-outstanding differences. Upon being bombarded with complaints and queries, they finally admitted that the food was no longer what it was when we were happy with it. We began the kibble hunt again.

There is a feed store in Longview, Washington... Western World by name. They carry a number of different premium brands of dog food among feed for other large and small animals. During a conversation with the manager, Jody, one day while I was reading label after label - and muttering - she suggested I might try CANIDAE. "Right", I thought, "here we go again." I must tell you, I totally expected our dogs to have projectile diarrhea, loss of appetite, and a number of other maladies from once again changing their diets. I bought a small bag and prayed for only a few bad results... and for the dogs not to be too uncomfortable with what I was giving them.

I have to tell you, I was astounded. There were no ill effects - even from an instant change-over... rather, the positive results were visible very quickly. Mostly in the smaller and less frequent stools I was picking up. Within days I saw differences in all the dogs, and they actually ENJOYED the food. Even DRY, which was a mind-boggling leap forward for our kids. I ALWAYS had to doctor dry kibble with something tasty to entice one or two of them to eat all their meals. NOT SO with the CANIDAE ALS... if one little kibble accidentally hit the floor before they got their bowl, all four of them dived for it!

Our show dogs' coats began to gleam (and it actually even FELT better to the touch), their eyes were bright and shiny, they were actually eating less... and they were totally satisfied. I do add a bit of canned mackerel once a week, as well as raw ground turkey, also some water-pack tuna is a great addition to their kibble for a treat. But they don't require the additions to enjoy their food... they eat it dry and are happy to do so. Anyone who knows a Doberman, knows that's just not totally typical. For some yes, but for ours... not even.

The first litter of babies we had after we put the dogs onto CANIDAE was another awakening to be sure. We have always started our babies out on a pablum mixture of baby rice cereal, goat milk and some strained grocery-store baby food lamb. Then we work them slowly into a mash from kibble added to the the pablum. It's gradually shifted into moist kibble and by 8 weeks they're usually on kibble and canned. At 3 weeks old, we began this CANIDAE litter with the pablum made from a mixture of pureed moist CANIDAE ALS (NOT puppy, but ALS), goat milk and a bit of pureed raw ground turkey, all blended together into a consistency that was appropriate for the age of the puppies. They dove in like little lions. Within 10 days, the goat milk was eliminated and they were eating strictly the softened CANIDAE mixed with raw ground turkey and warm water. This is the combination they were eating from then till they went to their new homes. We were so in hope the new owners would stick with it, because ... well, because it works!

In all the years we have been breeding Dobermans, I have never seen such a healthy, robust litter of babies. Shiny coats, bright eyes, hard bodies, tight feet, and FULL OF ENERGY to spare. At 7 weeks, they were eating dry kibble in the morning and the ALS with raw ground turkey for their evening meal. Exactly what our adult dogs eat. And they were thriving - just like their parents and aunts and uncles were... and still are.

We encourage our puppy owners to keep their babies on the CANIDAE and those who have, swear by it. Hard muscled dogs come from good nutrition, and we have those hard muscled dogs to prove that CANIDAE All Life Stages is the nutrition that we will keep providing for our dogs.

When CANIDAE announced they were changing their formulas, I cringed and began looking around for a substitute in case the new formula didn't agree with our kids. Just for grins, we tried the Chicken and Rice and the Lamb and Rice... they both disagreed terribly with all the dogs... in a variety of ways. So we went back to what had worked for us for so long... the All Life Stages. The change-over to the updated formulas was practically unnoticeable. And everyone is still thriving.

Thanks CANIDAE... Our older retired show dogs, our moms and dads, our Champions, our current show dogs... AND our babies... will continue to be fed ALS. And they look and feel great!!

12/12/2008 - We have three dogs, two Basset Hound puppies and a 7 year old Lab. They all do very well with All Life Stages CANIDAE. It is rich and healthy and the convenience of buying only one dog food is great! Our Hound Hoover loves it so much he took a nap on the empty bag and dreamed of his next meal. "My vet is thrilled"

12/9/2008 - My name is Lori and I am a volunteer for Florida Boxer Rescue as well as a demo-rep for CANIDAE Pet Foods. Last week I had a couple of posters made to take along with me to a demo. The first poster is of my foster puppies, their mama was surrendered to FLBR and she delivered her 7 puppies 3 days after coming into my home. Because Minnie Me was eating CANIDAE (the vet told me to put her on a high grade puppy food) I started the puppies on it as well when they were old enough to be weaned. My food processor hadn't been used in 7 years but boy it did a lot of grinding so I could make a soft mush out of my CANIDAE ALS for my pups. The puppy on the bottom is RJ, now Auggie, and is the most gorgeous 80 lb. 1 year old Boxer boy you could ever want to see. I also sent home bags of CANIDAE with the adoptive families along with the other pups.

The second poster is of Ruff, another of my foster dogs. It's funny because I was showing the poster to someone and they said "so you want me to believe he went from that to that eating CANIDAE?" Again, the vet told me to put him on a high quality puppy food and of course I started Ruff right out on CANIDAE ALS. Ruff was eating 6 times a day (usually 1 cup a feeding) and went from 36 pounds to 46 pounds in one week. Ruff is now a beautiful 65 pound Boxer boy and continues to be fed CANIDAE Dog Food.

So I guess you could say that CANIDAE ALS is for all stages, I have given it to puppies, a pregnant female, an incredibly emaciated Boxer as well as my two Boxers, one of which is 8 years old. I get nothing but compliments on how beautiful Twinkie, my little female Boxer is, and my vet is thrilled at how trim Brutus is at his age. And, let's not forget that I suggest your food to every family that I adopt one of my foster dogs to.

"Not likely to switch my dogs again"

12/8/2008 - I am a member of your breeder program. I stopped feeding my wolfhounds CANIDAE this past spring. WHAT AN ERROR THAT WAS! Now I am back on track with CANIDAE and have started buying solely CANIDAE again. I am not likely to switch my dogs again -- they are doing great on the All Life Stages and that makes me very happy.

11/17/2008 - My name is MaryBeth and I recently adopted two Labs from Safe Harbor Lab rescue here in Colorado. Their nutritional needs were abundant and CANIDAE was my choice to get them healthy. They both have incredible stories of their life challenges before I adopted them. Cady, my 6 year old female Chocolate Lab, came from a Puppy Mill. She survived living in a crate for 6 years having numerous litters of puppies while being abused by a male handler. Safe Harbor performed a full examination on her with surgery for spaying and multiple tumors removals in her abdomen from being spayed at such an older age. She was also chipped for identification if ever lost. When she entered my life, she didn't know what grass, birds, water play, balls, toys or all the things a normal dog should know. She was weak with very little muscle tone, which lead to her legs giving out when she tried to walk or run, and a belly that drooped from all her litters. Her hair was falling out and her nails were overgrown with the start of arthritis. Instantly, I fed her CANIDAE and added additional supplements and yogurt to her diet and it wasn't long before she looked healthier and had a skip in her step. She has a Spirit in her that is just Beautiful.

Austin, my 5 year old Vanilla Lab, also came from Safe harbor Lab rescue, was abandoned and left to die in a back yard. He had eye problems and was malnourished and also had hair and skin problems. He had sores on his face where a gentle lead had grown into his beautiful face. Safe Harbor Lab rescue had their doctors perform a $3000.00 eye surgery on him as well as neuter him and implant a chip as well. He is the happiest dog I have ever known, despite what he has been through. He is just full of life and loves everyone, especially those who will play ball with him. He is teaching Cady all that a Lab should know but doesn't because of her unfortunate history. As I did with Cady, I immediately began to give Austin CANIDAE as well and his transformation was a miracle to me.

Your product has changed the lives of two dogs that were desperate for good food in their bodies. I have shared my stories with many others at work, where there are many therapy dogs due to the patients I work with, dog parks and general web sites where I chat with other dog owners. Many people have made the transition to CANIDAE with their pets and are ever so thankful as I am.

I neglected to mention that I also have two cats that I will be transitioning to FELIDAE Cat food as soon as the store gets it in. So we will a Happy, Healthy CANIDAE family all around. Thank you kindly for what you have done for us.

11/14/2008 - I just wanted to let you know that I have been feeding my 4 year old Sheltie, Nitro, your wonderful food since he came home at ten weeks old. I'd like to describe some amazing story about his health or such, but I cannot. It is not amazing to me that my puppy is the happiest, healthiest, and most beautiful Sheltie in the world. His coat is silky, his eyes are bright and shiny. It's because I've always fed him CANIDAE. Not amazing. It's the finest pet food out there in my opinion! Nitro chows! He self-feeds and empties his bowl every couple of days (down to the last morsel if Mom hasn't been attentive enough to top it off). He loves the stuff and it shows. He is a very solid and active dog. Crazy dog with a happy personality. He is just SO healthy! Thank you for a great product, and I can't wait to try your new formula! 11/5/2008 - I wanted to write to you to tell you how appreciative I am that you have continued to provide an excellent product that I feed my dogs. I have been feeding CANIDAE to my 13 year old bulldog for 11 years now and have never had a complaint or issue! Even though he is on the Platinum, he still acts like a 2 year old puppy every day. I have had 3 bullys and this one has outlived the others by 3 years and with 1/100 of the veterinary costs throughout his life! He continues to thrive on the new formula and the snap biscuits. I think we are going for the Guinness record for the oldest bulldog! If only I knew his birthday.

On another note I used to be a small business owner and I think that it is wonderful that you are protecting your retailers and keeping the customers like me coming back month after month. I hope they appreciate it as much as I would have! I cant wait to try the new grain free on my younger ones… seems like another ace in the hole you have created!!!! "She can't get enough"

11/3/2008 - Hello Becki (CANIDAE Area Sales Manager). While we were talking at the Petapalooza, my husband was talking to the Greyhound Rescue people regarding a Borzoi that had been in rescue for a year. Since we are totally gaga over our other Borzoi, we inquired about this girl and, last Friday, she arrived at our home. She is incredibly skinny and we were told that she is a very picky eater. Well, you will be pleased to know that she may have been a picky eater but, not anymore. We started her on CANIDAE Lamb and Rice (that's what the other dogs are eating) and she can't get enough. We cook stew to mix in with the kibble but, she picks through it to get the kibble. We are feeding her lunch to try to beef her up and she even wakes up from her nap for that! So, even though we're aware of the changes CANIDAE has made of late, thanks for making a product that is good tasting as well as good for them.

"Wish we had known about your product sooner"

11/2/2008 - I just wanted to tell you how great we think CANIDAE is. Our adult male Boxer dog is over 10 years old and only eats CANIDAE Platinum. As any owner of a Boxer can tell you, they are prone to TERRIBLE gas. Since we switched to CANIDAE about two years ago, his gas has been practically non-existent. It has also helped control his shedding.

I only wish we had known about your product sooner! We just got a Standard Poodle this summer, and he is very happy with his CANIDAE All Life Stages.

You have a great product -- I have had several friends switch based on my recommendation, and they all agree it was a good move.

"We put our trust in you"

10/28/2008 - Thank you for emailing me the stores in my area that carry your dog food. I wanted to let you know that my husband and I liked the ingredients and decided to give it a try.

Oz is 8 weeks and 2 days old now but almost died at two days old and the breeders son brought him back to life.

As soon as we opened the bag of CANIDAE the little guy stuck his head right in the little sample bag and started eating it.

My puppy's stool is lighter and maybe a bit fluffier but that is the only change except for his appetite. The Vet says the change in stool's appearance is probably due to it being easy for him to digest, which is certainly not a bad thing.

Oz was bottle fed since he was two days old and I was trying to wean him from the bottle without too much shock to the system but couldn't because he wouldn't eat.

Thanks to CANIDAE he is doing very well. This puppy has been through a lot in his little life and we put our trust in you.

Oz was only 6.14 lbs. at 7 weeks old. He is a Rottweiler so that is very small. In just 2 weeks he has doubled his weight!

"After a few weeks had gone by we noticed a sudden burst of hair growth"

9/15/2008 - I have been feeding CANIDAE to all my dogs since 1999. I have been very pleased with how much they loved the taste and how shiny their coats always were. As our dogs got older we opted to switch them to CANIDAE Platinum which we fed for years. In Nov. 2006 Baby our chow of 10 years developed a very serious hot spot that the vet said was probably from a external allergen. The vet shaved her up to her mane (see picture), boy did she get small all of a sudden. Six months later I mentioned to the vet that her hair still had not grown back and he suggested we draw some blood to check her levels which all came back fine. I even tried supplements but nothing seem to bring back the hair. Not to long ago I picked up another bag of CANIDAE Platinum and noticed it was the new formulation. After a few weeks had gone by we noticed a sudden burst of hair growth. Not just patches but all over. A year and a half had gone by with no hair growth at all, and now 2 1/2 months later on the new formula I again have a full time job brushing her out (see 2nd pic). Proof to me is in the outcome and my now 12 year old chow looks & acts better than ever. The moral of this story I feel is that obviously the change is good, very good. I never doubted your old formulation but am even more convinced that CANIDAE strives to produce a quality food leading to better pet nutrition & health.

"I just wanted to tell you what an exemplary product you have"

9/8/2008 - I just wanted to tell you about my success story with CANIDAE All Life Stages. In April 2008 we adopted our second dog, a 9 month old Boxer. At the time we adopted him he was fed a diet of Ol' Roy, pork and beans and various unhealthy table scraps. When we brought him home his coat was dull and his shedding was out of control. I immediately switched him over to CANIDAE and cut out all table scraps and his transformation over the next 12 weeks was amazing. His coat is shiny and I no longer have to brush him 4x and vacuum twice weekly just to keep up with him. Friends and family comment on how good he is looking and I couldn't be happier. His energy level has increased, although in a 1 year old boxer I didn't think that was possible.

This is my first experience with CANIDAE products as my first boxer has food allergies and only succeeds on a prescription diet. I just wanted to tell you what an exemplary product you have.

9/7/2008 - I recently purchased a Shih Tzu puppy from a reputable breeder. When we brought him home we noticed that his bowel movements were quite soft and runny. We were reluctant to change dog food from what the breeder had started feeding him. On the many recommendations from friends who feed CANIDAE we switched him to CANIDAE ALS, and we almost immediately saw a firmer stool. His coat is beautiful. We are so happy with CANIDAE ALS! This is the dog food we will be sticking with. Also the new CANIDAE Snap-Bits are a great training aide. Our puppy loves them! It is so good to be able to reinforce his positive behavior knowing that we are rewarding him with such a nutritional treat, and they are the perfect size.

"The transition from the old formula to the new was seamless"

9/3/2008 - Thanks so much for your time on the phone. I appreciate you answering my questions. I wanted to let you know that the new CANIDAE ALS formula is working very well for my mastiffs. The transition from the old formula to the new was seamless. I have seven mastiffs ranging in age from 6 months to 4 years old. They each did very well with the switch and they clearly love the taste of the new formula. I will proudly continue to use CANIDAE ALS here at Crossroads Mastiffs.

You can see from the pictures that we have some nicely muscled, active mastiffs with beautiful, healthy, shiny coats. My recent litter of 12 puppies was weaned to CANIDAE ALS. You can see the picture of the whole litter taking their meal very seriously. The four puppies I kept have been fed the ALS formula exclusively since that time. I couldn't be happier with the way they are maturing. Thanks for a great product!!

This June I found the new improved CANIDAE at my local pet store, wow talk about improved food, smaller poo than before, their shiny coats feel softer and shinier that before and stand back when I put dinner down, it’s gone in seconds! "The change is amazing"

8/21/2008 - I would like to take this opportunity to let you know what a difference your food had made to my dog's life. We have two Irish Water Spaniels, one almost six years and one sixteen months old. The eldest one was a rescue and while she has been healthy she did not play or get involved with anything. She has been on your food for about three weeks now and the change is amazing. She is more alert, playful and her coat is much shinier.

I have her on life stages as she needs to be on a weight reduction program, and the younger one, who is much more active as he is a member of Ontario Dock Dogs and the main Dock Dogs association, needs to be on a normal formula, and I find that this way I do not have to buy two different types of food. I find that feeding CANIDAE, which is the highest form of kibble that I have tried, that has lived up to its advertising. I am quick to write a letter when a product does not live up to its promise so to be fair, I also try to be appreciative when I am completely satisfied with a product, with which I am with CANIDAE.

"Thanks for giving Matt back some quality of life"

8/18/2008 - I am writing to tell you what a difference you've made in "Matt's" life... I found him on the floor of another rescue operation in a room with a bunch of other dogs. He was completely unable to walk with severe contractures in all four legs. He was skeletal and half starved, and barely responsive. His eyes were caked with "sleep" and he had fecal matter on his rump. I ask ed if I could take him on as a "project dog" since he obviously needed more attention than what he was getting. Matt was originally caught as a feral dog and has never enjoyed human interaction. Two years ago severe arthritis set in and he deteriorated into his current condition. He was completely unable to move other than a slight scoot here and there...never more than a few feet at a time. The gal that had him said often you could hear him howling in pain in the middle of the night, but they didn't have the meds he would need. He was very near being put to sleep. When I picked him up he felt like a brittle branch...nary a muscle moved on him. His eyes "clicked" when he blinked because they were so sunken into his skull that they created air pockets around each eyeball. I'd never seen a dog this bad still alive. When I put him out in the grass the first time I was shocked because he looked like a long forgotten corpse of a dog... not the living, breathing, suffering dog he was. When he relieved himself, it was always a mess and he needed bathing several times a day. I immediately got him on CANIDAE All Life Stages canned and dry food mixed in equal amounts with a little warm water to soften the whole meal. He was weak, but the boy could eat!!!

After three weeks... he still cannot walk... but he is definitely more limber, more responsive, wags his tail, and his coat color has returned to a brilliant copper I never knew he had. The midnight howls of pain... they're gone... and while Matt cannot take himself out, he IS completely housetrained. He will whine and wiggle until you pick him up in order to be put outside as he absolutely hates to soil himself. His stool is solid and normal now thanks to a healthy diet and plenty of it. He now takes pride in his appearance and can't stand to be dirty or wet! He's earned a place in my bed, and spends his days either on a cushy loveseat, or often times being toted around in a sling backpack to town for a ride. CANIDAE has helped him gain some much needed weight, brightened his lonely eyes, and released some of the tension in his long neglected joints. Thanks for giving Matt back some quality of life... on his behalf... he appreciates every bite!

"Gordon is doing so much better"

8/11/2008 - I wanna thank CANIDAE so much, thanks to their great food Gordon ( The lighter Golden Ret.) is doing so much better. Shortly after I got him his hair was falling out he was constantly licking, we took him to the vet and ruled out everything from mange to parasites. After doing research I thought I would try better food. I heard about CANIDAE from a Golden Retriever website I joined, and I decided to give it a try after 3 weeks the licking and itching stopped and his hair started to grow back in. When I got Bella my 4 month old GR, I decided there's no other food she will be eating than CANIDAE.

7/23/2008 - I would like to share my own testimonial about CANIDAE dog food. Last year, I adopted my dog Sophie from Homeward Bound after she was abandoned by her previous owners. Sophie is a high energy black lab mix who LOVES to run, often times more than 10 miles in a single trip! I wanted to feed her the best food possible, and some friends recommended CANIDAE. Every meal, she eats her CANIDAE in less than a minute and looks up hoping for more. I knew she loved it, but was astounded when she picked finishing her CANIDAE over a bone filled with peanut butter!

Dear Makers of CANIDAE: Bravo to you for putting out an amazing product! I have three Chihuahuas: Bailey (7), Rocky (3 1/2) and Chloe (2 1/2). They were originally on Brand X for Chihuahuas, but it began to cause much stomach upset for them. So I transferred them to Brand X, which contained no wheat or corn products. They got very bored with this food very fast. True, it is fairly inexpensive for a food with no byproducts, but I don't mind paying extra if I know my dogs will benefit from the food. After attending a Pet Expo in Valley Forge, PA, we were introduced to your food through a series of samples. My dogs couldn't get enough. They get 1/4 cup of food in the morning and 1/4 every other night (I alternate wet and dry foods at night due to their stomach upset). By the time I put the food down, turn around to wash out the measuring cup and put it away, your food is GONE! I've never seen my dogs take to a food the way mine have. 7/10/2008 - Hello, My name is Matty and I am a breeder of quality Blue Nose Pitbulls located in Florida. I have been using CANIDAE Lamb & Rice for two years now and have raised my adult male and female Blue Nose Pits on this formula. The food has given them beautiful soft & shinny coats, awesome muscle tone, and my male has one of the BIGGEST heads I have seen on a pit his size. I am totally satisfied with CANIDAE dog food! Now they have had a litter of beautiful healthy puppies, 13 to be exact and none were lost during labor! I am positive that the cause of this perfect delivery and health of all 13 puppies was 50% from the excellent CANIDAE dog food and 50% of how I take care of my dogs. 7/10/2008 - Just wanted to write to let you know how much Bridgett, my Golden Retriever, loves your new Lamb and Rice dog food. She had been on another brand since we brought her home, but over the last year she has slowly been losing hair down both sides of her body. The vet said she was negative for mange and it was probably an allergy. He put her on a food he sold which did not help at all. She was almost hairless in spots and we were getting very worried. The clerk at the pet food store mentioned CANIDAE was good high-quality food with skin and coat conditioners in it so we tried your new Lamb and Rice formula. She loved it! 7/1/2008 - Just wanted to let you know how wonderful your food is. My Labrador Retriever had horrible skin problems and I had spent over $1000 in vet Bills trying to get her skin cleared up. She was on multiple antibiotics and steroids and nothing was helping. Even a biopsy came back inconclusive. Someone suggested CANIDAE. That was 11 months ago and I haven't fed her any other dog food since then. Her skin cleared up within the first month. All three of my dogs now eat All Life Stages. 5/19/2008 - My name is Cindy and I have a 4 year old Yellow Labrador, Sadie, who is the pickiest eater. A friend told me her dogs eat CANIDAE and said I should try it. Well to my surprise Sadie loves it.

She really loves the snap biscuits.... Thank you CANIDAE for providing us with a food we can be proud to say we can trust and a food that we know is safe. Sadie is very spoiled as she is a Certified Narcotics Detection Dog and a Certified Therapy Dog, doing visits at hospitals, assisted living facilities and reading programs at the libraries with the children.

"Back on CANIDAE and within three weeks the limp was gone"

4/28/2008 - I wanted to thank the CANIDAE people for making such a great dog food. We have a female American Bull dog, and as you know, these dogs are pretty big and stout. I first heard about CANIDAE from our breeder, that's all he fed his dogs. So we continued feeding Dottie CANIDAE All Stages food. A week after we brought Dottie home we scheduled an appointment with the vet. We told her vet we were feeding CANIDAE All Stages, he suggested slowly switch to a puppy food. So we did. Approximately two months later Dottie started to limp, a week later it got worse. We took Dottie to the vet, and they took some x-rays, they found that the inner and outer bones of her left leg weren't growing at the same rate causing her to limp. At that time I was told to put Dottie on adult food with less protein. I slowly put Dottie back on CANIDAE and within three weeks the limp was gone. Dottie has the best coat and is still growing like crazy. She's 75 lbs. and 22 inches to the shoulders at 6 months old, wow. Thank You CANIDAE, I will not take her off this great food again.

4/21/2008 - Here is a picture of our Manx cat Sammy. He is laying on the dogs bed as he really loves the bed. We also have 3 German Shepherd Dogs and they love your CANIDAE Chicken and Rice formula. Since we have switched to your food, I have found that there is no more doggy odor from the dogs. Their coats are beautiful, and Sammy is very glossy. I highly recommend your products to anyone that asks me what we feed ours. This is a great product and also at a great price.

4/15/2008 - I work part time at the Pet Valu Moore Square Store # 3516 in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. I think your products are terrific and I am always encouraging my customers to switch to it. My own experience was with my Basset Hound, who was being fed a different premium brand and vomiting every day. I switched him to CANIDAE Lamb and Rice and no more vomiting. He also loves it. I recently added the Snap Biscuits and canned Lamb and Rice to his diet.

"Her skin and fur had change remarkably"

4/7/2008 - This is my baby girl Choxie. She is 1 year old. Choxie was diagnose having allergies. The Vet recommended us to change her food, since medication was not work. We tried two premium foods. Unfortunately nothing seem to work. We tried every kind of ointment and shampoos. Nothing seem to help our little girl. We notice that Choxie wasn't getting any better, her daily activities seem to stop, all she was doing was itching or constantly nipping at her skin. I decided to go on-line and do some research on dog foods, came across CANIDAE website. I was very interested in trying the Lamb and Rice formula dog food. At this point we were willing to try anything to help Choxie. However, nobody carried it around us. One day I stop by our friendly pet store Citrus Pet Resort, Homosassa, Florida and to my surprise they just started to carry CANIDAE brand food. I instantly purchase the Lamb and Rice formula. Within a few days Choxie was wanting to play again. In a week her skin and fur had change remarkably. My family and friends came over for Easter and could not believe their eyes. What a difference CANIDAE has made on my little girl. I would definitely recommend this product to everyone. It has brought back my once sick baby girl to a beautiful, playful, Choxie.

3/1/2008 - I have a testimonial up for my miniature schnauzer Bonnie. She is the 9 year old black mini in the picture on the testimonial page. I wanted to update about her. The vet updated her age to 13-16. In April it will bump up 14-17. Her coat is still in great shape and she gobbles down her kibble still. She has been having trouble with her back end lately due to spinal problems. Other than that the vet said she can't believe how healthy her blood tests are for a dog her age. She said the CANIDAE is definitely helping her live a long and healthier life.

I have a newer foster dog, also a mini schnauzer. He came into foster care eating 2 brands of horrible food. He had heartworms and was treated for that. He then had giardia run rampant in his system. He currently has malabsorption syndrome from his system shutting down due to the medical stress. He gobbles up the CANIDAE food. He LOVES the canned food and the kibble and I found him in the bag earlier tonight. I am hoping he will start gaining some weight soon. I have noticed a huge difference in his skin and coat. Even though he has lost weight with the mal. syn. he has picked up more energy, a wonderful coat and skin condition. He was so itchy and scaly when I got him. Now he rarely itches. His skin is clear.

I am so thankful that the pet store owner in RI showed us CANIDAE.

My story isn't nearly as interesting as the others I have read on your site, but it's still fantastic what CANIDAE and FELIDAE have done for my dog and cat.

I was just at the vet clinic not three days ago seeing one of the new vets. I had to write you and tell you how much your food has done because I have never seen a vet so shocked. She couldn't believe how clean my dog's and cat's teeth and ears were. I DON'T clean them regularly. I only dry my dog's ears out after a bath.

While my cat has been through no major health issues, we have had her on FELIDAE since we adopted her at 4-months-old. This is because of our dog, who HAS had MANY issues.

On top of the costly surgery for when Jackson chewed up a green bean can, he has been at the vet an average of twice a month (sometimes twice a week) over his first year and a half of life. Constant staph infections, scaly, horrible dandruff, hair loss (and when I say hair loss, I mean gobs of it - one woman walking by said she'd never seen a lab with such an interesting coat. I said it's bald patches. She was embarrassed). He was on 40 mg of prednisone a day at one point. He weighed over 125 pounds because of the meds, and we had him on z/d, I believe, and I frankly couldn't afford it anymore. There was no way I was giving him up or putting him down, but I was at my wits end.

The vet tech had told me to try the CANIDAE lamb and rice before we tried the z/d. We had no success after three months, so I thought CANIDAE was a bust. Then we went to z/d and I went broke - and it didn't work, either. We did test after test after test, food trials, etc., etc. Jackson is allergic to dust believe it or not, and he is likely allergic or sensitive to some human foods like peanut butter and processed foods - but don't know that for sure.

Anyway, I decided to give CANIDAE another try. Something told me it would work this time, so I tried the ALS instead, and lo and behold, Jackson has hair again and is on 5 mg of prednisone every THIRD or FOURTH day!!! He will likely always take some amount of prednisone, as a dust allergy is pretty hard to overcome, but I am thrilled beyond thrilled with CANIDAE.

This last vet visit was the first one after over SIX months, and it was for routine vaccinations!!!

I have three pugs: two fawn - one of which is 12.5 yrs old and blind, and a black male. I also have an 11 year old Pekingese. Three of the four are finicky eaters and have all had chronic yeast infections in the ears with lots of exudate and odor. The pugs have had yeast in the facial folds which has made it difficult for hair to grow in these areas and a lot of gnawing at their feet. In addition to this, Maggie, our female pug, has also had chronic skin disorders and just lacked the spunk and energy a pug would have. We couldn't get any answers from the vet and pretty much blown off when we suggested allergy testing. We went through MANY top premium brands of dog food, including all the holistic foods and either the dogs wouldn't eat them or there was no improvement in the symptoms seen. After eliminating other foods we decided to give CANIDAE a try. To find a food that all four would eat was quite an achievement! They have been on your food for approx one month and what a difference! Oreo (black pug) has hair in his facial wrinkles for the first time ever, and he's 6 years old. No complaints. No more ear infections or gnawing at his feet and his coat is absolutely gorgeous! Maggie is like a pup again. Ear infections, yeast in wrinkles and skin disorders have cleared and her coat is thick and lustrous. It's easy to see how much better she feels. Holly, the peke no longer has yeast in the ears either and her coat is silky soft! We finally found a quality natural food product that we can feel good about feeding our pets. Don't ever change a thing!! You have a customer for life with our family!

It's not often I write a review about a product, but I had to write to you today to thank you for making such a great product - no complaints. I am the proud owner of two dogs, one of which is in training as a Search and Rescue dog. As a growing working dog, I need to know she is getting a good quality food that will help her stay fit and healthy for her job. However, her nutritional needs are complicated by food allergies, which stared me on my search to find a food that meets her needs without breaking my budget. Most of the foods I was coming across were prohibitively expensive. I came across your product one day at a local pet store, and after extensive research, decided to give it a try. Not only have her ear infections and irritated paws cleared up, but her coat is thick and shiny, and she has plenty of energy to meet the demands of a search and rescue dog. As an added bonus, this is the first food I've found that both of my dogs thrive on. My other dog has always grazed on her food (making it virtually impossible to keep weight on), and for the first time in 5 years, her bowl is emptied every meal and I've actually had to reduce the amount she gets fed as she was putting on too MUCH weight. Our black Lab Khalua just turn 17 years old last Aug.22, 2007. Eight years ago she was on Iams dog food. She was skinny, her coat was dull and falling out plus she was lethargic and had trouble swimming at the river. My youngest daughter turned us on to CANIDAE, we were amazed how she immediately gained weight, her coat is thick and shinny plus she has so much energy. People who meet her can't believe she is 17 years old, she swims and fetches tennis balls, runs and jumps all day long. I know my dog is getting great diet with all her nutrients she needs daily, as they say the proof is in the pudding. It is a shame you do not have a humandae, because I would buy it. Thank you CANIDAE for making a superior dog food. I've been feeding CANIDAE for many years now and all of my dogs are doing great on it. I have 4 dogs ranging in age from 11 years to one year old. My 11 year old is still active in agility and has been ranked in the top 3 for his breed (AKC stats) in agility for the past 6 years. And was #1 in mid year stats. My newest addition also loves CANIDAE food and I've enclosed some pics of her. Now I know, much to her dismay, this is not exactly the best way to feed a growing pup, but it made for a cute pic. (Excuse the mess in that room, at the time we were remodeling.)

"Immediately after switching Dot to your food we saw a miracle happen"

I purchased a Lowchen puppy (Dot) in September 2006. She has had inflammatory bowel disease her entire life and we've spent thousands of dollars with the Vets in an attempt to figure out the problem.

Dot suffered with mucus stools every day and had bloody stools every four to six days her entire life. She also had a gurgling stomach and would throw up often and become dehydrated when this would coincide with the bloody stools. The vets put her on ZD/Ultra thinking she might have protein allergies. It did not help. After a year, the vet's final decision was to leave her on antibiotics permanently since the antibiotics would lessen the amount of bloody stools to every 10 to 12 days.

I decided I wasn't happy leaving her on the antibiotics. In an effort to help little Dot I decided to try your CANIDAE Lamb and Rice food. Immediately after switching Dot to your food we saw a miracle happen. Her stools are normal. Her stomach is fine. WE and DOT ARE THRILLED!

Evidently Dot has an allergy to corn. Dot will always eat your Lamb and Rice formula from now on. We actually put all three of our dogs on it and they all love it.

"It has been almost a year since I switched and Chynna is doing great"

After the recall scare, I decided to switch dog food for then 11 year old terrier mix dog, Chynna. The food she was on was not one of the recall but she has been having bladder infections her entire life and was overweight despite giving her a food for overweight dogs. After reading about all the stuff that was in other dog foods and all the great reviews for CANIDAE, I decided to let her try it. It has been almost a year since I switched and Chynna is doing great. She has lost close to 5 pounds, has a lot of energy and no bladder infections. I adopted another dog 6 months ago and immediately threw away the food the pound gave and started her on the CANIDAE All-Stages-Of-Life dry food formula. CANIDAE is more expensive than other food, but the money that I saved in medicine for bladder infections and vet visits more than make up for it. One thing to be thankful for with the food recall, it made me more aware about the nutrition of my dogs.
